💡 ABOUT THE ROLE:
You will work as part of a distributed engineering team, owning critical backend services and integrations that form the foundation of a new payments network. This role offers the chance to influence company direction, improve engineering practices, and mentor peers while delivering resilient, event-driven systems at scale.
💼 WHAT YOU’LL DO AS A SENIOR GO ENGINEER:
- Build core API products and backend services using Go
- Own integrations with external partners, standards, and regional systems
- Develop scalable, secure, and resilient distributed systems
- Create event-driven, REST, and RPC-based interfaces for customers and internal teams
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver new features
- Improve engineering processes, standards, and tooling as the company scales
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative, inclusive team culture
💻 TECH STACK:
- Go (Golang) as the primary language
- Event-driven architectures, REST and RPC APIs
- Distributed and service-based systems
- Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
- External partner API integrations
🔎 WHO YOU ARE:
- Experienced backend engineer with substantial Go expertise
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and system abstractions
- Proven track record taking software from design to production
- Skilled in building reliable, maintainable, and resilient systems
- Strong collaborator and communicator in remote, distributed teams
- Bonus: experience in fintech, payments, regulated industries, or API design
