This is an opportunity to join a pioneering blockchain-based derivatives protocol building the future of decentralized trading. As a Senior Go Engineer, you’ll design, specify, and implement performant systems in a collaborative team blending academic research and production engineering, while shaping the foundations of open, global financial markets.

💡 ABOUT THE ROLE:

You will be part of the core engineering team working across financial trading, blockchain, and distributed systems. This hands-on role involves building production-grade code, rapid prototyping, and contributing to the mission of enabling open access to trading and risk data without central intermediaries.

💼 WHAT YOU’LL DO AS A SENIOR GO ENGINEER:

Contribute to the design, specification, and implementation of core protocol code
Write performant, production-quality Go systems and APIs
Prototype new ideas quickly to validate and test functionality
Collaborate with academic and industry engineers in a cross-functional team
Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical peers
Support the mission of building open, decentralized financial tools

💻 TECH STACK:

Go (Golang) as the core language
Python, TypeScript
Tendermint for consensus
gRPC and GraphQL for APIs
Docker and Terraform for infrastructure and deployment
Blockchain and distributed ledger technologies

🔎 WHO YOU ARE:

Experienced Go engineer with at least two large, production codebases delivered
Strong understanding of Go idioms, libraries, and computer science fundamentals
Skilled in API design, data structures, and distributed system concepts
Comfortable switching between production-quality code and fast prototyping
Strong communicator, able to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
Bonus: experience with Solidity, Rust, Java, C#, or Python; blockchain systems; financial instruments or markets; documentation; or public speaking

💰 COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Up to £110,000 / €130,000 salary with shares/tokens
Contract rate: £500–£700 / €600–€850 per day
